Barbara A. Salas

Barbara A. Salas, age 69, of Platteville, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2020, at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. She was born in Los Angeles, CA, the daughter of Samuel and Gloria (Hulk) Birkhimer. Barbara graduated from El Sereno High School. On May 18, 1970, she was united in marriage to Richard G. Salas in California. Barbara provided daycare to local families in California before moving to Wisconsin. She continued daycare service to families in Wisconsin for over 20 years.
Survivors include her loving husband of 50 years, Richard; their children: Richard, Jr., Tracie, Regina; one granddaughter, Andria; one great-grandchild on the way.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents.
In keeping with Barbara’s wishes, there will be no formal services. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Platteville is entrusted with her care.
