Brian E. Burkett, age 69, of Belmont, died on Saturday, February 2, 2013, at his home in Belmont. He was born on March 6, 1943, in Ottawa, IL, the son of Ervin E. and Geraldine (Gribbon) Burkett. He was employed with Wholesale Foods for many years. Brian enjoyed the outdoors and was a member of the Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall in Belmont.
Survivors include his children: Scott (Lynn) Burkett; Jennie (Bruce) French; a grandson, Garett William French; other relatives and many friends.
In addition to his parents, Brian was preceded in death by his sisters, Brenda Burkett and Barbara Burkett.
Private Family Memorial Services were held. Martin Schwartz Funeral Homes in Platteville is assisting the family.
