Cheryl Ann Metcalf

December 11, 1957 - May 16, 2026

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our mother, Cheryl Ann Metcalf. Mom was one of, if not the hardest working women we knew. At one time she held as many as seven part time jobs. Mom, however, always found space in her busy schedule for family, friends, and a good time. Cheryl loved horses, (especially her beloved horse, Rockie), cooking for anyone she could, and anything that allowed her to be outdoors. Whether it was a beer on the patio or a stroll through the woods to look for morels, she was all in. Cheryl was also a proclaimed Green Bay Packer fanatic. As she was always the loudest cheerleader of anybody in the room! Our mother had many friends and anyone that had the honor of knowing her, loved her dearly. The world will be a bit more dim without her in it.

Survivors include her children, Eric Wackershauser, West Salem, WI, Megan Wackershauser (Gerald “JR” Olsen) Potosi, WI; her four grandchildren: Matthew Hermann, Gavin Wackershauser, Austyn Olsen, Emersyn Wackershauser, some of whom may have called her “Old Granny”. Cheryl also recently welcomed her first great-grandchild, Blakeleigh Jo, into the world. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews that loved their “Auntie Cheryl” so much.

Our mother has left this earth and is welcomed to paradise to be joined in a warm embrace by her father, Jack Metcalf and her mother, Mary Metcalf Huser. She was also preceded in death by her beloved sisters, Carol Cale and Sally Metcalf.

Due to moms wishes, there will be no services.

If there is a card table in heaven, there will be many people around it. Until we see you again, rest peacefully mom.
