Dolores Zenz

Dolores H. Zenz, age 91, passed away November 19, 2014, at the home of her son, Kelly, in Kingston, WA. She was born April 21, 1923, the daughter of John Jack and Edith (Kellogg) Edwards. Dolores graduated salutatorian from Mount Hope High School and attended college in Madison. She enlisted in the United States Army Womens Air Corp where she was a court reporter. Dolores married William Bill Zenz on October 4, 1947. She was a member of the Bloomington United Methodist Church and the Abraham Hickok Wetmore American Legion Post No. 148. Dolores enjoyed going to their cabin in Hatfield and playing cards with family and friends.

Survivors include two sons: Scott (Ann) and Kelly (Holly) Zenz; seven grandchildren: Kora, John Jack (April), Joseph, Noah, Allie, Emily and Lindsey Zenz; six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, and her son, Richard.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 6, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at the Bloomington United Methodist Church with Reverend Mary Ann Floerke officiating. Burial with military honors was in the Bloomington Cemetery, Bloomington. Family and friends called on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church. Martin Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Bloomington is assisting the family.
