Douglas R. "Doug" Adams

LANCASTER - Douglas (Doug) R. Adams, 61, of Lancaster passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on December 7, 2025. He was born to Mark and Jean Adams and lived in Lancaster his entire life. Doug attended St. Clement’s School and graduated from Lancaster High School in 1982. He graduated from UW-Platteville with a double agricultural degree in 1986. He was a dedicated, hardworking lifelong farmer on the family’s Lancaster farm.

Doug loved and valued his family tremendously. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mark and Jean Adams, his maternal and paternal grandparents, a sister-in-law, Nancy, and many aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his longtime girlfriend, Shelly, his brothers Jim (Jane), Tim (Patricia), Dan (Anne), Paul (Lorrie), Pat, Marty (Lori), Greg (Amy), Jerry (Amy) and Steve; his sisters Sue, Janet (Randy), Cindy (Tom), Cheryl (Kevin) and Angie (Brian), along with Aunt Cecelia and Uncles Charles, Patrick and Gene. He is also survived by his beloved nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great nephews and many cousins. He especially enjoyed spending time with Jake, Rachel and Ashley on the farm.

Doug particularly enjoyed a good meal, watching football, the cats, newspaper contests, and trips to Las Vegas with his lifelong friend and neighbor Paul. Doug never wanted to miss a family event, and we will all miss him greatly. Rest in peace Doug.

Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the church with a meal following in the church dining hall. Kramer Grau Funeral Homes & Crematory in Lancaster is assisting the family.
