Elmer E. Walters

LANCASTER – Elmer E. Walters, age 71, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Orchard Manor Nursing Home.  He was born on December 27, 1952, in Black River Falls, WI, the son of Elmer and Harriett Walters.  He and his mother and sister moved to Potosi when he was young.  Elmer attended school at Potosi.  He worked at John Deere, a steel factory and most recently at Loudspeaker Components, LLC, where he had to retire early due to health reasons.  Elmer was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed fishing.  He had a great sense of humor and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his partner, Peggy Hollister; three children: Jodi, Jason, and Joyce; 6 grandchildren; a sister, Joanne; other relatives and many friends.

In addition to his parents, Elmer was preceded in death by his siblings: Charlotte, Shirley, Carol, and Linda.

In keeping with Elmer’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral services.  Burial will be held at a later date.  Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster is assisting the family.
