CASSVILLE – Jo Marie (Weiser) Beesecker, age 80, of Cassville, died peacefully on Friday, July 3, 2026, at Grant Regional Health Center, surrounded by her family. She was born on March 15, 1946, the daughter of Paul and Elizabeth (Murphy) Weiser. She was one of seven children. On July 20, 1963, Jo Marie was united in marriage to Loyd “Jr.” Beesecker in Prairie du Chien; together they cherished 62 years together. She was a woman of many talents including sewing, cooking up a storm, mending hearts, and making people’s lives brighter. Jo Marie worked at Roshek’s in Dubuque, Flexsteel as a seamstress, Rapid Die & Molding Co., and then went back to school to become a CNA in true form to help others. She also served as a Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader for many years. Jo Marie was referred to by many as “Grandma Jo,” “my other Mom,” “Josephine,” and “Bud.” Not only was she very proud of her Irish and German heritage, she was the true definition of “good things come in small packages.” Jo Marie was a strong woman, an amazing mother, a loving grandmother, and always ready with wise advice and a listening ear. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Survivors include sons: Gregory “Greg” (Chrissy) Beesecker, Loyd Bret Beesecker, and adopted son, Jeff Payne; daughter, Lacy (Jared) Kasten; five grandsons: Jamin, Christopher, Jacob, Jared, and Jaxon; six granddaughters: Amanda, April, Brittany, Kristen, Morgan, and Irelyn; six great-grandsons: Jaydon, Kobe, Steven, Maxwell, Paxton, and Harrison; five great-granddaughters: Addisyn, Evelyn, Harper, Charlotte, and Paisley; siblings: Toni (Gary) Shedivy and Cindy Haverland; Tiny, the infamous cat; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She joins in Heaven her parents, her husband of 59 years, Jr; a son, Chris Beesecker; a grandson, Jordan Beesecker; two brothers: Jackie and Jerry Weiser; sisters: June (Ted) Steiner and Joyce (Tom) Kautman; brother-in-law, Izzy Haverland.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 12:00 Noon at St. Charles Catholic Church in Cassville with Father Sudhakar Devarapu officiating. Burial will be in Cassville Cemetery, at a later date. Family and friends may visit on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Kramer-Grau Funeral Homes & Crematory in Cassville is entrusted with her care.
