COLUMBUS- Joan Thompson Pascoe, age 93, of Lancaster, passed away on May 31, 2026, at Home Again Memory Care in Columbus, WI. She was born on August 18, 1932, in Lancaster, WI, the second of five children of Miles and Dorothy Thompson.

Joan married Dr. Maurice Pascoe on November 7, 1953. Joan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She attended high school in Lancaster, graduated from Cottey College in Nevada, MO and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She was well known for her adventurous cooking and bridge playing skills. Joan was a member of the Lancaster Congregation Church, where she spent many years as a deacon and Sunday School Superintendent. She also spent many winters doing taxes with Hoskins and Brown, Attorneys. Joan was an avid volunteer and enjoyed sewing, knitting, and anything creative. Her dedication and compassion for family was perhaps her greatest strength. She will long be remembered for her strong family connections with both immediate and extended family.

Joan was a member of P.E.O., Chapters BC and X.

Joan is survived by her four children: Andrea (Steve) Cargill of Port St. Lucie, FL, Kathleen (Jerry) Martocci of Davenport, IA, David Pascoe of Poynette, and Mary (Bob) Weber of Sun Prairie, WI. She was proud of four grandchildren: Christopher Martocci, Alyssa (Matt) Tucker, Brad (Geraldine) Weber and Alex (Jessie) Weber, as well as four great-grandchildren, Riley, Weston, Grant and Wade. She is further survived by her brother, Robert Thompson of San Antonio, TX and in-laws, Rosie Thompson, Judy Thompson, Bill Bartling; and many well-loved nieces and nephews.

Joan is preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Pascoe and her son, Michael Pascoe; her parents, Miles and Dorothy Thompson; brother, Jim Thompson; sisters: Ann Estlund and Midge Bartling; and brother-in-law Bruce Estlund.

A Family Burial will take place at Hillside Cemetery in Lancaster, WI. Kramer-Grau Funeral Homes & Crematory in Lancaster is assisting the family.

The family would like to thank Columbus Home Again Assisted Living and Memory Care. Her last few years there were filled with love and compassion. Your staff is exceptional. We would also like to thank Generations Hospice for their support and assistance over the past year.
