POTOSI - June Reynolds – Grass, who reached the age of 81, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family in Potosi, Wisconsin, on Thursday, February 5, 2026. Born on July 25, 1944, in Xavier Hospital, Dubuque, Iowa, she was the daughter of Robert and Mildred (Baumler) Muller. From an early age, June developed a profound appreciation for the outdoors. She grew up with a love for animals and all plants and at an early age developed the values of hard work and humility that would be a guiding force in her life.
June graduated from St. Andrew School in Tennyson, Wisconsin, in 1962. Following her graduation, she enrolled at the Dubuque Beauty Academy in Dubuque, Iowa, where she obtained her cosmetology license. While she never pursued a career in a salon, she generously offered her hair-cutting skills to family and friends.
June was fortunate to experience the joy of two loves in her lifetime. On July 30, 1963, she married her first love, Robert “Bob” Reynolds, in a heartfelt ceremony at St. Andrew Parish in Potosi, Wisconsin. Together, they forged a life on their farm known as “Back Ache-Acres,” filled with love and companionship. They raised their two daughters, milked cows, raised sheep and hogs, worked the land diligently, planting crops, and harvesting the fruits of their labor, all the while cherishing the moments spent together. June was also an entrepreneur; from 1980 to 1985, she ran a ceramics business out of the family’s home basement called “Country Cellar Ceramics.” Later, after selling the dairy cows, she opened the “Potosi Floral and Cheese Shop” in Tennyson, WI, where she worked from 1992 to 1994. June and Bob shared 32 years of marriage until a tragic farm accident changed her life.
June found love again in Donny Grass, and on January 4, 1997, they were married in the home they had built together. June was an advent gardener where she and Donny spent countless hours in their yard landscaping and sitting on their back deck enjoying their koi pond and watching the birds. There was not a plant June didn’t love. June and Donny loved to travel and celebrated 29 years of marriage.
June is survived by her husband Donny Grass, daughter, Dawn (David) Lee and their family, Bekka (Richard) Martin, and their children, Isobel, Annalie, and Evenlyn, Emma (Joey) Acker, and Jason Lee; daughter Cari (Tom) Hottenstein and their family, Coy Wiederholt, Whitni (Dillon) Koralovetz and their sons Keaton and Koda, and Haili Hottenstein. Stepchildren Dave (Angela) Grass and their family, Tanner (Kayla) Simon, Jordan Wood, Justin (Vanessa) Geyer and their daughter Emmett, Garrett Grass, Hannah Grass, Dominick (Amy) Grass, and their children, Cody Grass, Seth (Emily) Grass, Logan, Jason, Larcen, Timothy (Andrea) Grass and their daughter Alexandria, Margaret (Ben) Thompson and their family Michael, Lucas, and Ava Loebach, and a sister, Jackie (Joe) Brant.
She was preceded in death by husband, Robert, her parents, and grandchildren, Mya and Hanna Lee in 2004.
