Karen Kay Stevens

Karen Kay Stevens, age 75, of Lancaster, died on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at home surrounded by family. She was born on October 17, 1948, the daughter of Carl and Violet Nickel.   Karen graduated from Lancaster High School in 1966.  On February 13, 1982, she was united in marriage to William Stevens in Linden, WI.  Karen’s great passion was taking care of the elderly so they could stay in their homes as long as possible, along with cooking and trying new recipes.  

Survivors include her husband, William Stevens; siblings: Vickie Rodriquez and Karla Nickel.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jody Trickel, sisters: Linda Beecher, Doris Wilmont, and Barbra White.

In keeping with Karen’s wishes, there will be no formal services.  A private family burial will be held in the Linden Cemetery at a later date.   Martin Schwartz Funeral Homes & Crematory in Lancaster is assisting the family.
