LANCASTER – Marjorie A. Cargill Wiser, age 96, of Lancaster, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2025, at Orchard Manor Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 21, 1929, to Fred and Louise (Williams) Borneman. Marjorie graduated from Elkhart High School in Elkhart, Indiana, where her lifelong love of music was evident through her participation in the school choir. Throughout her career, she worked as a retail sales representative for several furniture stores and later managed the Lancaster Country Club. Above all, Marjorie was a loving mother to her three children. She found joy in golf, singing, cooking, and interior decorating. Marjorie was a devoted member of the Congregational Church, an active member of the Red Hat Ladies, and enjoyed spending time with friends through bridge club.
She is survived by her children: Mike (Rossanne) Cargill, Linda (Gary) Grother and Jim (Rhonda Noble-Orosz) Cargill; loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and a niece, Michelle Wiser-Miller.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Martha; and infant child, Lisa.
Private family graveside services will take place at Hillside Cemetery, Lancaster. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Kramer-Grau Funeral Homes & Crematory in Lancaster is assisting the family.
