Mary R. Vondrum

MADISON - Mary R. Vondrum, age 89, of Madison, entered into her eternal rest on December 8, 2025, at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was born on April 22, 1936, to Bernard and Lenice Vondrum. Mary lived a long and blessed life, strengthened by her faith and surrounded by the love of family and friends. Mary will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her resilience in times of trial, and the deep compassion she shared with everyone she met. She lived her faith daily through acts of kindness, generosity, and devotion, reflecting God’s love in all she did. Her life was a testament to the comfort of prayer and the peace that comes from trusting in God’s plan.

Mary worked for American Family Insurance for over 40 years in several different departments retiring in the Medical Claims Department.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard Vondrum and Lenice Longmire, and her two sisters, Helen Ploessl and Dorothy Kunz. Though she has now gone home to the Lord, her memory will remain forever cherished by her many loving nieces and nephews.

Mary’s family rejoices in the belief that she is now reunited with her loved ones in the presence of her Savior, where there is no pain, only peace.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Charles Catholic Church in Cassville on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be held at St. Charles Cemetery, Cassville. Family and friends may call from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Kramer-Grau Funeral Homes & Crematory in Cassville is assisting the family.
