Nancy K. Davis

LANCASTER – Nancy K. Davis, age 82, of Lancaster, Wisconsin, passed away on August 28, 2026, at Edenbrook of Platteville surrounded by her family. She was born on November 22, 1943, the daughter of Frank and Yvonne (Ward) Bird, in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. Above all else, Nancy cherished her family, who were the most important part of her life. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother who treasured every moment spent with those she loved. Nancy enjoyed quilting and celebrating the holidays, especially Christmas, when her family could gather to create lasting memories.

She is survived by her husband, Homer L. Davis; children: Eric (Denise), Troy (Jill), Scott (Laura) Davis and Tanda (Mike) Schildgen; her grandchildren: Heather (Ricky) Bontreger, Jennifer (Andy) Capaul, Travis (Emily), Katie, Bradley, Mark (Kristina) Davis, Luke (Amber) and Ben (Mitzi) Schildgen; great-grandchildren: Remington, Briar, and Bowdy Bontreger, Ivy Capaul, Wyatt, Wren, Willa and Madison Davis, Brynlee, Braxel, Ashlyn, Adalyn, Chloe, Nevaeh and Mosston Schildgen; great-great-grandchild, Amelia Bontreger; siblings: Betty Schmidt and Ben (Mary) Bird; and many other family and friends.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents; her siblings: Ronnie (Diane) Bird and Sally (Jack) Warczak; and a brother-in-law, Ronald Schmidt.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Lancaster United Methodist Church. Burial will be held in Hillside Cemetery, Lancaster. Family and friends may gather on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Kramer-Grau Funeral Homes & Crematory in Lancaster is assisting the family.
