POTOSI – Nancy A. Jacobson, age 74, of Potosi, died on Friday, July 24, 2026, at Unity Point Finley in Dubuque, Iowa, surrounded by her family. She was born on September 14, 1951, in Lancaster, the daughter of Dick and Sylvia (Reed) Richards. Nancy graduated from Cassville Public High School in 1969. On April 3, 1971, she married Kenneth A. Jacobson at Davies Memorial United Church of Christ in Potosi. They lived their entire married life in Potosi. She worked at Rapid Die and Molding in Cassville, Orchard Manor Nursing Home in Lancaster as a CNA, and at Skaifes’ Tree Nursery in Potosi. After beginning their family, Nancy became a stay-at-home Mom and babysat for many others.
Nancy and Kenny enjoyed camping, vacationing, and traveling, especially to Branson, MO and Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming. One of their most memorable trips was a seven-day cruise to Alaska.
Nancy's unwavering faith in God was the foundation of her life. She lived her faith each day and was never afraid to share her love of God with others. Throughout her seven-month battle with cancer, her steadfast faith gave her strength, comfort, and hope, carrying her through each day with courage and peace.
Survivors include her loving husband, Kenny; two sons: Duane (Jennifer) Jacobson, Cuba City; Brian Jacaobson, Burton; two grandchildren: Alysha (Danial) Johnson and one great-grandchild on the way; Jeffrey Jacobson; three step-granddaughters: Haylee (William Yager) Albert and their daughter, Wrenlee Jo Yager; Hanna and Haidyn Albert; a sister-in-law, Diane Bode; other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and her grandparents, Nancy was preceded in death by a brother, LeRoy “PeWee” (Elaine) Richards; a sister, Shirley (Charles) Rech; her mother-in-law, Marie Jacobson Williamson; and a brother-in-law, Jerry Bode.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at 12:00 Noon at Kramer-Grau Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1234 S Madison, Lancaster, with Pastor Carter Jorgensen officiating. Burial will be in Van Buren Cemetery, Potosi. Family and friends may visit on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
