POTOSI – Nickie L. Pitzer, age 83, of Potosi, Wisconsin, passed away on March 24, 2026, at his home. He was born on November 18, 1942, in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, the son of Clifford and Blanche (Hampton) Pitzer. Nickie attended Dubuque Senior High School and proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. On August 20, 1966, he married Ann Oberman. Throughout his career, Nickie worked with Dubuque Pack, FDL, and Smithfield. He also worked at Americold Logistics and as a truck and tour bus operator. Nickie had a love of reading and was especially passionate about history and politics.

Nickie is survived by his wife, Ann; children: Nick C. Pitzer, Paul S. Pitzer, and Ann Marie Carlson; brothers: John and Rick Pitzer; sister, Paula (Jim) Revenig; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his siblings: Gary, Harold, and Clifford Pitzer, Mary Kramer, Beverly Spahn, Peggy Trowbridge, and Donna Pitzer.

A private family service will take place at Kramer-Grau Funeral Homes & Crematory in Potosi. Burial will be held at St. Andrew Cemetery in Tennyson, Wisconsin. Kramer-Grau Funeral Homes & Crematory in Potosi is assisting the family.
