Robert B. "Bob" Lange

POTOSI – Robert B. “Bob” Lange, age 83, of Potosi, Wisconsin, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at SSM St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. He was born November 24, 1942, in Platteville, Wisconsin to LaVern and Anna Mae (Richter) Lange. Bob attended high school in Platteville and East Dubuque where he graduated. He served his country in the United States Army from 1964 to 1967. Bob married the love of his life, Charlotte Leppla, on March 8, 1969, at Davies Memorial United Church in Potosi, Wisconsin. He worked most of his life as a maintenance mechanic throughout many different companies. Bob enjoyed fishing, camping, and vintage cars, and took great pleasure in working with his hands; whether woodworking, drawing, crafts, or solving puzzles.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte; children: Chuck (Deb), Shawn (Lisa), and Curt (Angie) Lange; brothers: Roger, Tim and Terry Lange; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; seven foreign exchange grandchildren; special friends: Marian, Brian, Sheryl Ann, Cheyenne, Dakota Hoffman, and Angie Cooley; dog, Corky; and many nieces and nephews.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents; mother and father-in-law; children: Cevin Russell and Kimberly Lange; grandson, Brandon Fuerstenberg; sister, Pat Bloom; brother, Rick Lange; and sisters and brothers-in-law.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Kramer-Grau Funeral Homes & Crematory in Potosi. Burial with Military Honors accorded by Uppena-Kroepfle American Legion Post 473 and Berg-Averkamp VFW Post 5276 will be held in British Hollow Cemetery, Potosi. Family and friends may call on Friday, May 1, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. A Celebration of Life will be held following the committal service at the Lange residence, 6132 Hwy 61, Potosi, Wisconsin 53820. Kramer-Grau Funeral Home & Crematory in Potosi is assisting the family.
