Ruth A. Beck

Ruth A. Beck, age 82, of Lancaster, died on Thursday, July 11, 2013, at Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster. She was born on July 21, 1930, the daughter of Harry and Gertrude (Riddiough) Hartwick. Ruth graduated from Lone Rock High School. She was employed at St. Josephs Hospital in Dodgeville and Mineral Point Care Center. Ruth enjoyed cooking, baking, dancing, reading, things in nature and caring for animals.

Survivors include her children: Vicki (Edward) McKernan; Nancy (David Yoose) Williams; Alan (Mary) Martin; Dean Martin; seven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; brothers and sister: Harry Buddy (Shirley) Hartwick; Paul Hartwick; Dennis Hartwick; Ruby (Dick) Chitwood; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on Friday, July 19, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Schwartz Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Lancaster with Pastor Mark Hoehne officiating. Burial was in Van Buren Cemetery, Potosi. Family and friends called on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
